Living Costs

Students will face different levels of living costs depending on their lifestyle choices and their personal circumstances. For example, students who live with family or in private sector housing rather than halls may save on accommodation costs, but are likely to spend more on travel. Whereas students with dependents need to consider the additional costs relevant to them, for example childcare.

However, all students will need to consider budgeting for accommodation, food, travel, phone, printing costs, books, laundry and social life. The levels of expenditure below provide a rough guide to these common weekly living costs.
