How much would I receive?
The bursary takes the form of a credit against the cost of University halls accommodation in the first year of study and as a cash payment to assist with housing costs in subsequent years. The Bursary might not cover the full cost of the halls fees and so it is the students responsibility to set up a payment plan for the outstanding amount. If you wish to find out how much your accommodation fees will be, please contact the accommodation office or visit their webpage.
The award is worth £3,500 over the 3 years of a standard degree course and is payable in the February of each year as follows:
- Year 1: £1,500
- Year 2: £1,000
- Year 3: £1,000
- If your course is longer, for example of 4 or 5 years normal duration, then you will be paid £1,000 in years 4 and 5 as applicable.
